Jason Dean has been an Investigations Officer at the Security Industry Authority since 2013. The Security Industry Authority is the regulator of the private security in the United Kingdom and issues the licences which, for certain roles, are a legal requirement to work in the security industry. The SIA also sets the standards of conduct and training for security operatives, runs the Approved Contractor Scheme for security companies, and works towards raising the standards in the security industry. During his time at the Security Industry Authority Jason has completed a variety of investigations and worked in partnership with the security industry and partner agencies to promote public safety. Jason is on secondment to the National Business Crime Centre to support and build relationships between the private security industry, policing, and business sectors.
