Free bicycle security seminar and nominations open

Now in its 4th year, the annual free Cycle Crime Conference will take place on Tuesday 26th June 2018 at Tally Ho Conference Centre, West Midlands Police Sports & Social Club.

This free event is for anyone concerned about cycle security from councils, BCRPs, BIDs, Security managers and all professionals with an interest in this work.  Spaces are limited and filling up fast, so make sure you book today to avoid disappointment.

Police statistics linked to the latest Crime Survey for England and Wales (Sept 2017) reveal that bike thefts are on the rise again and this year's event will provide an invaluable update on cycle crime. Speakers will share best practice and examine successful operations and initiatives that have reduced cycle crime over the last 12 months.
The event will also explore how Cycle Crime is 'more than just the theft of pedal cycles' and how, although thieves see cycle theft as a low risk, high reward crime, it is often just the tip of the iceberg.
Doors open at 9.00am and refreshments and breakfast snacks will be provided. The conference will be formally opened at 10am.
