On the Road with NBCC lead Supt. Lisa Maslen, November 2025

November saw Lisa Maslen travelling the country to champion collaboration between policing and business. She began the month at the British BIDs conference at One Moorgate Place, where she joined ACC Jenny Gilmer to discuss how neighbourhood policing can strengthen town centres and improve public safety.  

The following day she headed to JCB’s World Headquarters for the CITS conference, taking part in a panel on shutting down fraud in the construction and hire industries. The event also celebrated standout policing initiatives through the CESAR awards, something Lisa was delighted to see recognised.

Lisa then swapped conference halls for parade routes as she joined the Institute of Couriers in the first-ever Lady Mayor’s Show, a vibrant and historic procession. Shortly after, Safer Business Action Week began, taking her to Salisbury for a Fight Back Against Retail Crime event and the launch of the Salisbury BCRP. Throughout the week she also delivered knowledge-sharing sessions with the College of Policing and Police CPI, supported a tool-marking initiative in Surrey, and joined colleagues for store visits in the City of London.

Later in the month she met with the New West End Company and attended the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s winter networking event. Her busy season ended on 25 November at the ACS/PRA joint conference, where she presented on tackling forecourt and retail crime and outlined what businesses can expect from police support.

Reflecting on the month, Lisa said “I have collected a lot of lanyards and name badges over conference season, but I have also taken a lot away from my conversations with industry and policing colleagues.  Now is the time to show I have been listening and start delivering on the Tackling Retail Crime Together strategy.”
