Dave Catlow
Dave joins the NBCC from the Metropolitan Police Service, bringing with him 25 years of frontline policing experience across a wide range of roles, including emergency response, schools policing, proactive units, public order, transport and neighbourhood policing.
For the past seven years, Dave has served as the vehicle crime lead for the South East area, working closely with government departments and the automotive industry to tackle both vehicle theft and theft from vehicles. This role sparked his national focus on combating tool and equipment theft, an issue that impacts on sole traders through to national infrastructure projects.
Over the last four years, Dave has collaborated extensively with government, tradespeople, and the construction industry to address the growing problem of tool and equipment theft. His work has included driving legislative and policy changes, coordinating proactive enforcement operations, and leading national crime prevention initiatives aimed at reducing offending and protecting businesses.
This extensive experience has established Dave as a recognised national lead in the fight against tool and equipment theft, bringing together policing, industry, and government partners to develop effective and lasting solutions.
